Atlantic Cape Community College and Rutgers University Host Dedication in Memory of New Jersey State Trooper Frankie L. Williams on Sept. 15

Atlantic Cape Community College and Rutgers University hosted a dedication in memory of New Jersey State Trooper Frankie L. Williams on Friday, Sept. 15, at the Rutgers Building located at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus.

Rutgers University and Atlantic Cape dedicated a tree, plaque and street sign in honor of lifelong learner and New Jersey State Police Trooper #7953 Frankie Williams. Speakers included Mr. Dean Wyks, assistant professor of Criminal Justice at Atlantic Cape and adjunct instructor at Rutgers; Dr. Barbara Gaba, president of Atlantic Cape; Dr. Michael Palis, provost at Rutgers University-Camden; Lt. Colonel Patrick Callahan, deputy superintendent of operation, New Jersey State Police; Trooper II Michael L. Korejko, New Jersey State Police #7222; and Dave Coskey, chairman, Board of Trustees at Atlantic Cape. Continue reading

Atlantic Cape Offers Professional Certificate Programs To Prepare Students for Specific Jobs

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer 29 Professional Certificate Series programs this fall that gives students entry-level skills for specific jobs. Each series can be taken on a part-time basis in the day or evening with many courses available online. Students begin and end the program at their own pace, and many programs can be completed in one year. In addition, credits earned may be applied toward an Atlantic Cape associate degree.

Programs provide training in a variety of positions, ranging from an addiction counseling specialist to an unmanned aircraft specialist with many programs focusing on computer careers. Two such programs are the PC Specialist and the Web Design Professional. Continue reading

Affordable Online Semesters Run for Just Eight Weeks Beginning Sept. 5, Oct. 30 at Atlantic Cape Community College

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer new online semesters beginning Sept. 5 for students who want to add a class to their schedule or anyone interested in continuing their education with the convenience of not having to leave home. A second eight-week online session is offered Oct. 30.

Classes include: Introduction to Business, Principles of Marketing, Introduction to Computers, Composition I, Statistical Methods, Business Law I, Composition II, Microeconomics and Statistical Methods. These courses lead to any degree programs Atlantic Cape offers entirely online, including: Business, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming, Computer Systems Support, Database Design and Development, General Studies, History, Literature, Office Systems Technology, Psychology and Social Science.
