Atlantic Cape Community College invites students to attend a free hands-on FAFSA session for help completing a 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Sessions will be held at the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd., on the following dates:
- Tuesday, May 23, 12:30-2 p.m., in Room 132
- Wednesday, May 31, 5-6:30 p.m., in Room 105
- Tuesday, June 13, 5-6:30 p.m., in Room 105
- Wednesday, June 14, 12:30-2 p.m., in Room 132
Financial aid specialists will provide information, answer questions and help students complete a 2017-2018 online FAFSA form. Students must bring their own and their parents’ 2015 or 2016 tax returns, all W-2 forms and all Social Security numbers. The Atlantic Cape Community College Art Club sponsored a Comic Book Illustration Workshop with former Marvel Comics artist Joel Del Beato on Tuesday, April 18, at Atlantic Cape’s Mays Landing Campus.
Del Beato, owner of Atlantic City Comics and Graphics Arts Gallery, discussed today’s comic industry, its unique demands and tips on what students should study to break into the field. Nearly 20 students and staff attended the workshop and were able to ask Del Beato specific questions pertaining to drawing and the comic book industry.
A variety of baking and pastry workshops will be offered with Chef Marylou D’Angelo, beginning Jan. 27, at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College, at the Mays Landing campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike.
Egg Bread and Rolls will offer the hands-on experience of making soft textured egg breads and rolls, such as 6-Braid Challah Bread, 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27. Cost is $75. Continue reading
Space is still available for an Informational and interactive NJTransfer.org presentation and workshop for advisors, counselors, faculty, adjunct instructors and staff. Help your students plan for transfer in-state, Tuesday, Jan.12, from 10-11:30 a.m.
The presentation will take place in J-202 (ML) and video conferenced to Room 113 (CMCC), and Room 215 (WACC).
John Scott, director, and Linda Tromp, associate director, New Jersey Statewide Transfer Initiative, will lead a presentation on NJTransfer.org.
NJTransfer.org is a website that helps students transfer community college courses to four-year institutions in the State of New Jersey.
Its many features assist students in learning:
• Which courses to select at a community college
• Which New Jersey four-year colleges offer equivalent courses
• How the courses will satisfy four-year degree requirements
• Where you can transfer your community college courses in New Jersey
Topics will also include the NJ Statewide Transfer Agreement and an overview of NJ Transfer Website functions.

Join us for a workshop on “Personal and Professional Dramatic Writing,” presented by Roy Steinberg at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the Cape May County Campus Dining Room.
Steinberg is Producing Artistic Director of Cape May Stage and has directed classical and contemporary plays as well as world premieres all over the United States. He also produced and directed the soap opera Guiding Light and worked on One Life To Live and Days of Our Lives. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama.
The event is free an open to students, faculty and staff. Refreshments will be served.
